Mrs. Beth Lanning of Cedartown, Ga., passed away Monday, January 9, 2023.
Mrs. Lanning was born on April 18, 1950, to the late Willie (Buddy) and Dorothy Elise Turkett. She was a proud member of Faith Baptist Church in Cedartown, Georgia.
Beth loved singing and listening to the “Turkett Trio.” She graduated from Cedartown High School in 1968 and was the class treasurer. She is preceded in death by her fur baby Patches and special friend Juanita Benefield.
Surviving is her husband of 36 years, James “Bud” Lanning; sons Bart Rushing (Lori) and Scottie Lanning (Gail); daughters April Hearne (Matt) and Teresa Parker (Leon); sister Hope Dingler (Scott); grandchildren Chase Chandler, Jarrett Chandler, Luke Moore, Isaac Hearne, Neal Beeler (Kandace), Ashley Beeler, Taylor Ammons (Austin), Starla Parker and Brittany Bentley (Mark); greatgrandchildren Landyn Bentley, Blakelynn Bentley, Ricky J. Bentley, River Beeler, and Ridge Beeler; Nephews Benny Dingler, Alex Dingler, and Chad Dingler; and her special friend Neal Anderson.
The family will receive friends Friday, January 13, 2023, from five o’clock until seven o’clock in the afternoon at the Litesey Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, January 14, 2023, at four o’clock in the chapel of the Litesey funeral home, with Rev. Danny Tucker officiating. Interment will follow the funeral service at the Northview Cemetery.
The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Alex Dingler, Chase Chandler, Jarrett Chandler, Luke Moore, Neal Beeler, and Mark Bentley. In addition, her Greatgrandchildren will serve as honorary pallbearers.
