Garrett Zander Harris

A Sunday morning domestic dispute on Walnut Street in Aragon ended with an arrest after he was accused of throwing a “liquid” on a mattress and broke furniture, according to a APD report.

Police arrested Garrett Zander Harris, 19, of 20 Walnut Street, got into an argument with his girlfriend around 11 a.m. while she was in the restroom.

He was reported to hold the door to where she couldn’t get out, broke it in the process, and carried the argument into his living room where he threatened her by saying he was going to beat her. He threw her on the couch, but she fought back and went to her bedroom. Harris followed, threw a “liquid, possibly a drink, onto the bed.”

He was also reported to throw her down in the bedroom, tossed a Christmas tree around the room and threatened suicide.

He broke a stool leaving the residence on Walnut Street. He admitted to pouring the liquid on the bed, and breaking the stool when he returned to Walnut Street and was questioned by police at 11:38 a.m.

Additional witness statements were taken down by police as well.

Harris was booked on charges of felony false imprisonment, and misdemeanor criminal trespass and battery. He was released on a $5,000 bond on Monday.
