County Police are providing an opportunity for women in the community to learn ways to ensure they are safe during situations that might get uncomfortable or even violent.
Victory Baptist Church is hosting a Safety Seminar being organized by County Commissioner Linda Liles with the help of Polk County Police command staff.
The Saturday, October 21 event will feature information and skills provided by PCPD Assistant Chief Charles Vainrib and Captain Wayne Lloyd. The hope is to help women in the community who want to increase their situational awareness and provide information “to help women avoid potentially dangerous or violent encounters.”
Plan for a two hour event to start at noon.
Contact Commissioner Liles for more at 404-276-3855.
