Water main bust patched up today on Judkin Mill Road

Crews were out today on Judkin Mill Road in the Cedartown area taking care of a big problem that was patched up and back operational by this afternoon before quitting time.

An 8-inch water main busted and began spilling out water around 10 a.m. this morning, which required a Polk County Water Authority repair crew to get equipment out on the scene fast, especially with the proximity to the bridge on the road at Pumpkin Pile Creek.

However they were able to dig up the line and get to the problem fast, with the water being cut back on by PCWA Superintendent Ryan Prince (pictured above) by 3:20 p.m. this afternoon.

No damage was caused to the bridge in the process.

Photos and information for this story were provided by County Commissioner Gary Martin. -KtE
