County Commissioner Ray Carter asked for an opportunity to talk to those assembled for the Local Option Sales Tax meeting held on Monday, August 1, 2022.

He covered some of the history about how numbers were reached in decades past when the negotiations were made in the past, and his belief that those present should work to find a “fair” agreement between the four municipalities that works not for one government or another in the county, but for the taxpayers footing the bill.
