A recently-relocated business celebrated a grand opening party in Rockmart this weekend, bringing out characters from comics and film out to enjoy a Saturday where fans and customers alike got a chance to check out the store.

Vision Comics held their grand opening party on Saturday, bringing in young and old to enjoy the new store at Sycamore Grove in Rockmart. The celebration included visits from some prominent characters from the pages of the books found in the store including Darth Vader, Spiderman, Cinderella and more.

Ward Pankoski, his wife Barbara and son Logan relocated the store this year after having lived and operated in Dallas for several years. They had planned to open sooner, but the pandemic forced a change in their timetable after Ward and Barbara moved to Rockmart.

Now that they are back in business, Vision Comics has a lot to offer. Logan operates the store that has everything from comics, collectibles and board games and card games like Magic: The Gathering.

Logan Pankoski, who operates the store as general manager, said that plans are to expand offerings for fans of gaming beyond the already ongoing Friday night Magic: The Gathering card tournaments, and said announcements about offerings will be forthcoming in the future.

Along with new products, the business will also purchase comics and Magic: The Gathering cards, and help people determine if cards they have purchased are authentic along with other services

The store – which opened two months ago – operates on Tuesdays through Sundays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
