Racers of all ages gathered at Cedartown’s movie theater to show off their skills on a virtual track and utilizing the big screen for a day of fun.

The first ever Mario Cart tournament put on by The West Cinema saw Alex Tuck as the champion of the day, beating out several other players young and old for the top prize. He won a date to use the VIP room at The West Cinema with him and friends after this past Saturday’s victory racing on one of Nintendo’s most popular franchise games.

With the announcement of the winner of the tournament, West Cinema’s Facebook post cited that they are planning another tournament, and wish to have input from local gamers on what to do next.
