Temperatures are set to drop and a thunderstorm is passing over Polk County as the National Weather Service has a severe thunderstorm warning in effect until 8 p.m., and is keeping a watch in place until 10 p.m.

After wet weather moved through this morning, another line of storms is pushing through this evening and is expected to remain until after 9 p.m.



Heavy rain is likely, and there’s a potential for upward up 60 mph winds and hail as well. Potential for hail damage to vehicles is possible.

Cedartown, Rockmart, Aragon, Antioch, Fish Creek, Etna, Felton and Esom Hill are all expected to feel the impact of storms.
