The 2020 Primary for state and local seat is coming up on May 19, and for the first time in several years there are challengers in several races, and two parties sending candidates onward to the November election. Here’s a list of all the people who qualified with local and state election authorities.
Of note, because of the COVID-19 outbreak, the presidential primary day was pushed back to the May 19 election day. Those who already voted for their parties preference for their presidential nominee will have their vote counted when the rest of the ballots come back in May. Election officials are requesting that everyone registered who have not yet voted in the presidential primary and the local and state primaries please have an absentee ballot sent to their homes.
Voter registration ends on April 20, extended due to the COVID-19 outbreak by Secretary Or State Brad Raffensperger. Absentee Ballot application forms are being sent out to registered voters as of March 30.
