Four teens were jailed and charged with burglary, criminal trespass and loitering or prowling this past weekend after they were spotted by and officer leaving a business, according to a Cedartown Police report.

The Cedartown Police stated that four males – three 17-year olds and a 15-year old – were taken into custody on Sunday evening, April 11 after they were found leaving a West Avenue business.

Dylan Cabrera, Jairo Horca, Julian Duque, all 17, along with and a 15-year old who was unnamed, were taken into custody around 9:46 p.m. by Cedartown Police when they found the four leaving the rear of the business to get inside of a silver Honda Accord.

The report stated they told officers that they were hanging out in one of the youngster’s parent’s former store, and when police further investigated the scene they found “pry marks indicating a forced entry into the building.”

Police stated the teens said the door was “already like that for a while now” when questioned about whether they broke in or not.

Cabrera, Horca and Duque were all taken to the Polk County Jail for booking on the trio of charges, and the 15-year-old was ultimately transported to the Rome Youth Detention Center to be held in their facility.

When seeking further information about bail for the trio charged as adults, the Sheriff’s Office did not immediately have information available online.
