A special moment was celebrated on the pitcher’s mound this afternoon as the Cedartown Bulldogs and the Rockmart Yellow Jackets squared off in the second meeting of the rivals in the 2021 season.
Taking the field for the ceremonial first pitch this afternoon was Superintendent Laurie Atkins, and her soon-to-be replacement Assistant Superintendent Dr. Katie Thomas.
The pair threw to a Cedartown and Rockmart catcher at the same time before the game opened.
