Kelvin King seeks to bring conservative values back to Washington
Editor’s note: Usually I would have included comments from Mr. King in this article and video, but due to music playing over the speaker system during his visit at Knucklehead’s, comments were rendered inaudible. Apologies to Mr. King and readers that they were unable to hear from the candidate himself. – KtE
U.S. Senate candidate Kelvin King met with a group of local Republicans on Saturday at Knuckleheads Cafe in Rockmart as part of a statewide tour he’s on to grow support for taking of Senator Raphael Warnock in the 2022 campaign.
King, a former U.S. Air Force officer and graduate of the Air Force Academy, is now a general contractor in Marietta. He met with Polk County GOP leadership and potential voters as part of an effort to visit all 159 counties in the state by the end of August. His goal during the tour is to meet and shake hands with at least one person in each county and hear their concerns over what is happening in Washington, D.C., and across the state.
Locally, some of those concerns were voiced following a brief campaign speech. Among the topics he addressed were immigration enforcement, medicare reforms, the upcoming Senate election.
King told potential supporters he was the man to beat Senator Warnock in 2022, since he’s able to talk about more issues pressing the nation with honesty than other candidates already in the race.
