Age 74, of Wichita, Kansas passed away on Sunday, February 6, 2022. Samuel was born March 29, 1947 to Elmer & Guyola (Payton) Deering in Bremen, Georgia.
He graduated from Cedartown high school in 1964, after which he joined the United States Air Force where he served until 1968.
He then worked at the United States Postal Service where he met his wife Teresa Martelli. They got married in 1979 and shared 42 years together.
He worked at Kansas Gas service company as a serviceman/ linewalker where he retired after 15 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers David & Jerry Deering, sister Brenda Wills, son Matthew Deering, and granddaughter Ashley Deering.
Survivors include wife Teresa, daughter Molly (Robert) Alvarez, grandchildren Meghan (Josh) Wilkins, Caitlin Deering, Elena Alvarez, and Dominic Alvarez, great-grandchildren Sophia Wilkins, Sutton Wilkins, Savannah Wilkins, Christina Miller, Mason Sikes, sister Gayle Deering, and brother Danny (Judy) Deering.
