Two Rockmart PD officers were honored for their service to the community – one for being a long term employee with the city, and another for their efforts for the successful Rockmart PD’s 5K held earlier in the month.

Officer Kevin Montgomery and Sgt. Jimmy Parker were both honored at the latest Rockmart City Council meeting on October 12 for being officers who have been in service for many years and for their service to the community.

Tonight, we’d like to recognize two of our Officers. Officer Kevin Montgomery was recognized by the Mayor and city for 15 years of service. We’re thankful to have our long-term employees.

Sgt Jimmy Parker received a plaque and was recognized for his hard work and efforts in organizing our City of Rockmart 5k. This was a fundraiser event for the Police Departments K-9 program. Congratulations to you both. Great job!
