Mr. Ronald James “Ronnie” Tillery, age 74 of Cedartown, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2024. He was born on March 25, 1949. He was the son of the late Howard and Doris Morris Tillery.

Ronnie attended Cedartown High School and lived in Cedartown all of his life. He began his career as a plumber working for his father. He later opened his own business, RJ Plumbing and then worked for Polk County Public Service.

In his earlier years, he enjoyed playing guitar in rock and roll bands, playing pool and coaching Little League. He loved antiques, going to the beach and watching Cedartown High School Baseball and football. Ronnie never met a stranger and was a one of a kind storyteller.

Mr. Tillery is survived by his wife, Carol J. Tillery; daughters, Lisa Tillery Pruitt, Fran Tillery Davis (Andy) and Tami O’Neal; sisters, Diane Cheatwood and Becky Tillery Rutledge; sister-in-laws, Terry Tillery and Ann Marie Tillery; brother, Rocky Tillery (Patty); brother-in-law, Benny Hubbard; mother-in-law, Raymonde Carter; grandchildren, Katie Teater (Jake), Mary Beth Crooks (Logan), Abby Davis, Nick Pruitt (Emily), Seth Davis, Rayanna O’Neal, Lucas Pruitt, and Jay O’Neal; and great-grandchildren, Livi Teater, Emery Pruitt, Ryder Pruitt and Brelynn Teater.

Mr. Tillery is preceded in death by his parents; sons, Charles Bradley Tillery, Ronald Craig Tillery and Wesley Paul Tillery; sister, Robyn Tillery Hubbard; brothers, Phil Tillery and Jeffery Scott Tillery; and brother-in-laws, Dewey Rutledge and Marvin Cheatwood.

The funeral service for Mr. Tillery will be held on Friday, March 1, 2024 at two o’clock in the afternoon in the chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Benefield officiating and Mr. Todd Tillery giving the eulogy. Interment will follow in the Northview Cemetery.

The family of Mr. Tillery will receive family and friends on Friday, March 1, 2024 from twelve o’clock (noon) in the afternoon until the funeral hour at the Gammage Funeral Home.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Nick Pruitt, Seth Davis, Lucas Pruitt, Todd Tillery, Breck Tillery, and Jay O’Neal.
