Santa Claus is coming to town, but not before the Rockmart Police have a chance to give back this year and take on his task with some toy deliveries.
Police Chief Randy Turner was among those who stopped by the Greater Rome Toys for Tots in recent days as officers grab toys to distribute around the Rockmart community as part of their annual program to help out during the holidays.

The countdown is on as the pick up date for those who registered children for Toys For Tots will be this Saturday at the Coosa Valley Fairgrounds for Rome/Floyd County.
The Greater Rome Toys For Tots helps those out of Rome and Floyd County too as Rockmart Police Chief Randy Turner and several of his deputies picked up toys to distribute to families in Rockmart.
Mike Elliott, Georgia Voluntary Field Representative for the National Exchange Club and a member of the Rome Exchange Club, helped the Rockmart officers load up toys to place smiles on the faces of children Christmas morning.
The Exchange Club of Rome is the local coordinating organization for Toys For Tots for Rome/Floyd County, Polk County, and Chattooga County.
