The Rockmart Homeless Initiative was forced to close down its downtown location in past months, which caused the organization to need a new place for one of their ongoing projects: providing a Blessing Box for those in need.
Now the organization has found a new place for at least one of the boxes in the area: the First United Methodist Church of Rockmart.
RHI announced the box going up for the use of those in need on Sunday. Donations will be accepted to help provide items of need, like non-perishable food items, blankets and more.
Here’s the full announcement:
The Rockmart Homeless Initiative’s Blessing Box has found it’s new home!!! The First United Methodist Church of Rockmart has placed it on the fellowship building facing the ally way. Please feel free to leave items in the box for those in need and those currently experiencing homelessness. A special thanks to Dennis and Char Wells for getting the blessing box in place!
