Rockmart Farmers Market returning this afternoon

Looking for some good produce, meats, baked goods, and even homemade face masks? Look no further than the Rockmart Farmers Market, which returns this afternoon from 2 to 6 p.m. to downtown Rockmart on Water Street in the area around the Silver Comet Trailhead.

This week, the youngest vendor yet joins the Farmers Market and brings along masks and vinyl decals, along with custom orders for patrons of her business, B&B Stitchery. Their Facebook page cites the business as a teaming up between grandmother and granddaughter locally. They also do alterations.

“We took the opportunity to use this summer to allow our local kids to show their entrepreneurship by letting them sell their handmade items at the market,” said Rockmart Farmers Market’s Facebook page announcing B&B Stitchery as a new vendor. Youth who want the chance to sell items the last couple of weeks before school can contact the Farmers Market by visiting RockmartFarmersMarket.com.

Additional vendors this week include Beehaven, That Foreign Chick’s Bakery, Spreading Oaks Farm, Morning Glory Farm, Yorkville Hops and Produce, Sand Creek Farm, Little Creek Farm Nursery, High Cloud Farms, Possum Trot Farms, Endgate Farm and Fitzgerald Fruit Farm.

The Farmers Market is open to the public, but officials and vendors are asking that patrons please practice social distancing and strongly recommend masks be worn during the event.
