The Rockmart Downtown Development Authority welcomed a new member to the business community – one of many over the past two years – to South Marble Street with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Saturday morning.

A little wet weather didn’t bother family, friends and local officials from stopping by on September 14 for the event hosted by the DDA at Anna’s New, Used & A Little Abused Books & More.

Owner Anna Flores opened in mid-August to customers all across Polk County to find a variety of titles and genres, and maybe even enjoy a few minutes of reading time before making a purchase.

Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays. They’re closed on Sundays. Find the new bookstore at 113 S. Marble St., Rockmart – in between Soli’s and William’s Hair Company.
