Mr. Robert H. “Bobby” Bowen, age 94, of Dallas, GA passed away Thursday, November 23, 2023 at his residence.
He was born on February 20, 1929 a son of the late Howard Hill Bowen and the late Vera Inez Hooper Bowen. Mr. Bowen had lived the greater part of his life in Paulding County where he was a member of the Beulahland Baptist Church.
He had worked for the Goodyear Mill in Cedartown, the Fisher Body Company in Detroit and retired from the General Motors Assembly Plant in Doraville with over 30 years of service. He also worked on the family farm for many years.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Rampley Bowen on March 4, 2020; by two sons: Ronald Bowen and Larry Rosson Bowen; and by a grandson, Robert Douglas “Robby” Bowen, Jr.
He is survived by a son and daughter in law, Doug and Regina Bowen; granddaughter, Heather Wood and her husband Ben; granddaughter in law, Michelle Bowen; ten great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mr. Robert H. “Bobby” Bowen will be held Sunday, November 26, 2023 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Chris Reed officiating. Interment will follow in Polk Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will include: Ben Wood, Tyler Wood, Brandon Wood, Hal Wood, Jacob Gagnon and Trey Bowen.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 pm until the funeral hour at 2:00 pm.
