Rivers Alive returns on October 12

Keep Polk Beautiful is getting ready for the annual cleanup of local waterways celebrated across the country in October.

Mark the calendar for Saturday, October 12 and make sure to set aside three hours for Rivers Alive 2024, set to start at 8:30 a.m.

KPB is set to begin the cleanup of Euharlee Creek from Seaborn Jones Park. The first 100 volunteers to arrive and help with the cleanup will be given a Rivers Alive t-shirt for participating.

Lunch after the cleanup is being provided by the Cedartown Junior Service League. Snacks and drinks during the event is also being provided by the Cook Farm.

Those interested in participating with groups should reach out to KPB Executive Director Randy Cook by email rcook@cedartowngeorgia.gov.
