A Cedartown woman who was being sought for a bench warrant tried to run from Polk County Sheriff’s deputies during her arrest and was found with drugs, according to information from the PCSO.

Amy Sherelle Ingle, 44, of 35 Walnut St., Cedartown, remained in jail with no bond set on felony and misdemeanor charges after her arrest on Sunday around 7 p.m.

Per reports from the Sheriff’s Office, Ingle was being served a bench warrant from Cedartown Police charges involved in a shoplifting case when she tried to run from deputies serving the warrant.

When they caught up with her, Ingle was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and paraphernalia, per the Sheriff’s Office.

She remained in jail on felony charges of possession of methamphetamine and shoplifting, and misdemeanor charges of possession and use of drug-related objects, obstructing law enforcement officers, and the bench warrant.

Bond had not yet been set on the charges.
