A two-year-old who went missing from a residence on Pine Mountain Road in the area around the airport was found unharmed after a search was quickly formed by first responders.
Polk County Police Chief Kenny Dodd reported the boy had wandered off down the road following a dog and was reported missing by his family around 2 p.m.
No more than an hour later, the child was located and was not injured.
Dodd was appreciative of the efforts of his department and fellow agencies for their help in locating the child quickly.
