REPORT: Two jailed during warrant service Sunday morning

An Aragon man and woman were both booked into the Polk County Jail on Sunday morning after officers arrived to serve a warrant on one suspect, but ended up taking two into custody instead.

Zachary Dan Sherman, 26, and Shawna Lee Pennington, 56, both of an Aragon address, were taken into custody by officers around 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, April 16, per a preliminary Polk County Police report available as of April 17.

Aragon and Polk County Police were both involved in the arrest, seeking out Sherman on warrants in Aragon on Sunday morning.

The report did not have a full narrative available, but noted that both Sherman and Pennington were taken to the Polk County Jail without any further incident noted after only an hour on scene.

Bond had not yet been set for Sherman, who remained at the jail on a felony probation violation charge, and misdemeanors for driving while license suspended or revoked and reckless driving.

Pennington also remained in custody as of this posting without bond set on the felony charge of hindering apprehension or punishment of criminal.
