Report: Pair pulls into Sheriff’s Office parking lot with baby, jailed on meth charges

A busy day on Monday for Polk County Sheriff’s deputies saw a second incident reported involving a man and woman arrested for drug possession after they were stopped by officials after pulling into the parking lot of the PCSO.

Deputies took Thea Blanca Parham, 32, of 72 Pine Wood Lane, Bremen and William Codie Blue, 23, of 898 Ben Davis Road, Buchanan, into custody on Monday around 9:30 a.m. after Sheriff’s Office Sergeant Mike Jones noticed suspicious activity in the parking lot, per a PCSO report.

Blue was digging around in the rear floorboard his father’s vehicle while Parham with a 1-year-old on her lap was behind the wheel of a 1999 Honda Accord when the Sergeant came up to the pair in the parking lot and confronted them about what was going on.

“While speaking with the individuals, Sgt. Jones informed them that there are posted signs at the entrance of the parking lot that state persons and vehicles are subject to search within the guard line, and there are people that bring contraband to inmates,” the report stated. “Sgt. Jones asked the individuals if they had any contraband and they stated they did not.”

Since “their behavior” and activity prior to Sgt. Jones coming up to Blue and Parham seemed suspicious, a search of the Honda Accord was undertaken, and it turned up suspected methamphetamine shards in a purple metal container, and additional found within a plastic baggy.

Apparently, both were in the Accord when they entered the parking lot per the report. Additionally, deputies searching found the rear child seat to be unsecured from the seat itself and missing its base.

Since neither Blue or Parham claimed the drugs as theirs, both were taken into custody. The Department of Family and Children Services were called into aid in getting the child to a family member.

The total weight of the meth came in at six-tenths of a gram when it was brought into the Sheriff’s Office to be placed into evidence.

Deputies charged Blue with felonies for possession of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine with intent, unlawful to obtain for or give to inmate any item without consent of jailer, and crossing state/county guard lines with weapons, intoxicants, drugs without consent and a misdemeanor for reckless conduct.

He remained in jail on a $12,000 bond.

Parham was also facing the above charges, along with an additional misdemeanor offense for a seatbelt violation for the unsecured car seat. She remained booked on a $13,000 bond.

Mr. Blue has been a nuisance to society for some time now. He, somehow, has always gotten a simple slap on the wrist for his behavior.
I’m hoping this time they will give him the punishment he deserves and needs.
