Jayden William Moates

A pair who were being sought by Polk County Sheriff’s deputies on a bench warrant were taken to jail on Monday afternoon and remained there as of this posting.

Jayden William Moates, of 65 Wheeler Ford Road, Rockmart and Oakley Suzette Williamson, 27, of 103 Creekside Drive, Rockmart, were taken into custody by Polk County Sheriff’s deputies when they arrived at the Wheeler Ford Road address to serve previous warrants on Moates for traffic violations and an obstruction charge on Moates.

Moats was reported by the Sheriff’s Office to have attempted to flee from the deputies during the March 29 incident, but didn’t make it far before he was apprehended.



When being searched at the jail, it was found that Williamson was in possession of methamphetamines.

Both were being held on charges in the Polk County Jail with bond set for each.

Williamson was charged with felony possession of methamphetamine and crossing the state/county guard lines with weapons, intoxicants, drugs without consent. She also was held on a misdemeanor bench warrant. Her bond was set at $8,500

Moates was being held on a $4,365 bond on misdemeanor charges of obstructing law enforcement officers – once during the current incident and once during an incident with the Rockmart Police. Additionally he was being held for a bench warrant, along with traffic charges for tag lights required and driving without a valid license.
