A woman was charged with a felony and booked on Friday after she smashed a window in late March, according to Polk County Police reports.
Gina Nichole Gonzales, 34, of a Rockmart address, was jailed on Friday, April 26, almost a month after the incident occurred on March 30.
Per a victim and witness report, Gonzales is accused of taking a baseball bat to a car and causing several hundreds of dollars worth of damage when she smashed in the windshield and headlight on the car.
The owner of the vehicle believed Gonzales damaged the car due to “suspected infidelity.”
Police took out a felony warrant due to the amount estimated to fix the damage.
Gonzales was released on a $5,000 bond following her booking on April 26 on a single felony charge of criminal damage to property in the second degree.
