
Polk County Police arrested a man who admitted freely that he had “slapped” the victims involved in a Piedmont Highway incident on Sunday afternoon, according to reports.
Officers took Kevin Atkins, 47, of a Cedartown-area address, into custody on Sunday, November 19 after officers came out to investigate an incident where he was accused of slapping and hitting people.
When police arrived, Atkins is reported to have admitted to the battery charges.
He was taken into custody without further incident following an investigation on scene with victims and witnesses involved.
Atkins was booked and remained in custody at the Polk County Jail on the pair of misdemeanor charges for simple battery.
