A Cedartown woman who was a babysitter was jailed for more than a day on misdemeanor charges after she was reported by police to have shown a lewd picture and video to children under her care.
Marcelena Rose Wiggins, 37, of 721 S. Cave Spring St., Cedartown, was jailed on March 21 following complaints made by a pair of parents who had children under her care on three counts of electronically furnishing obscene material to a minor.
Cedartown Police reported that an initial complaint was made by a parent who said that Wiggins showed her children nude pictures and videos of a man.
That complaint was later confirmed by a second parent of another child who was under Wiggins care at the time of the incident on February 9.
Reports stated that Wiggins also discussed her sex life with the children.
Sheriff’s deputies took her into custody without further issue this past Sunday.
She was released on a $3,000 bond after spending more than a day in jail after being taken into custody on March 21.
