A Buchanan man was found slumped over the steering wheel by police after a wreck on Campbell Road in Cedartown early on Saturday morning and later arrested on a single charge, according to Polk County Police

Officers arrested Michael Cody Craft, 28, of a Buchanan address, was arrested on Saturday, August 17 around 4 a.m. when he was found in a driveway passed out behind the wheel of a Ford Taurus after he had struck a mailbox.

PCPD found him in the same condition, was able to wake him up and found that he was likely intoxicated.

Craft did cooperate with police and admitted to drinking earlier in the day and having “too much.”

He was taken into custody without incident and his car was towed.

PCPD charged Craft with a single count of reckless driving. He was later released on a $1,410 bond for the single misdemeanor count.
