Put on some old gym clothes and get ready for a morning of fun as the Cedartown Middle School cheer squad hosts the first ever POLK Color Run as a fundraiser for the upcoming season.

Mark those calendars for August 7 and sign up now before discounted rates run out at month’s end to participate in the event, set for 9 a.m. on the campus of Cedartown Middle School.

Runners can pay $30 to participate before the July 31 deadline for the lower-priced admission.

The fee includes an event t-shirt for the run this year. Children’s and additional shirts are available for $12 each. Shirts are not guaranteed for anyone who signs up with late online registration after July 31.

This year’s Color Run is being held for a variety of good causes, promoting awareness for conditions and issues like mental health, autism, multiple sclerosis, cancer, Down’s syndrome, suicide awareness, and most importantly for acceptance, family, fun, the county, and love.

Registration information is available in the embedded Eventbrite page below. Sponsor donations are also available for businesses who want to participate, and logos will be included on the backs of every shirt provided to participants.

Collections have begun for sponsorships as well, and those interested can contact organizers ahead of the event.
