There’s still time to sign up and take part in an upcoming 5K Run/Walk in Cedartown this weekend to benefit an organization that works to help expectant mothers and new families in Polk County.
LMO Pregnancy Care Center’s inaugural 5K Run/Walk race is coming up this Saturday, October 9, and will be utilizing the Silver Comet Trail for a racecourse. The Cedartown Welcome Center and Depot will be the start and finish line for the first-ever run for the organization.

Life Matters Outreach and the LMO Pregnancy Care Center Invite you to join us for the inaugural running of the “Life Matters 5K & 1M Health Walk”! The race will be held Saturday morning, October 9th at 8:30 AM and will serve to raise funds in support of the Life Matters Outreach Organization and the LMO Pregnancy Care Center.
The LMO Pregnancy Care Center is a Christian Education Ministry. Since 2001, the organization has been working with young women in the Polk County, Haralson County, and surrounding areas to assist them with unexpected pregnancies.
By offering physical, spiritual, and emotional support along with truthful information about pregnancy, abortion, parenting, adoption, and sexual activity, they strive to share God’s plan with their patients.

*$25 5K Pre-Registration Entry Fee / $35 Day of Race
*$25 1M Health Walk Entry Fee / $30 Day of RaceRace Route / Start-Finish & Parking:
The 5K and 1M will start and finish across the street from the Cedartown Welcome Center located at 609 S. Main St., Cedartown, GA.
The Race Route will exit the Welcome Center and flow along the scenic, super-fast & flat, Silver Comet Trail on an out-and-back loop.
There is plenty of parking at the Welcome Center as well as on the surface streets around the Cedartown Welcome Center location
