Mr. Raymond Lee Kuglar

Mr. Raymond Lee Kuglar, age 81 of Dallas, Georgia, formerly of Cedartown, passed away on Tuesday, April 11, 2023. He was born on July 19, 1941 in Cedartown, Georgia. He was the son of the late Willie O. and Beulah Howard Kuglar.

Mr. Kuglar is preceded in death by his parents and first wife, Elizabeth “Libby” Vincent Kuglar.

Mr. Kuglar is survived by his wife, Elaine Mayo Halcome Kuglar; children, Joey Kuglar (Kathy), Jennifer Brett (Nick), and Matthew Halcome (Amanda); brother, Larry Kuglar (Lynne); sister, Susan K. Davis (Jeff); grandchildren, Jacob Kuglar, Savannah Kuglar, Saffia Brett, and Riju Brett; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Kuglar was retired from the Norfolk Southern Railroad with 41 years service. He was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Cedartown.

He was an avid Atlanta Braves fan, and will be remembered as being a coach of several sports for the Cedartown Recreation Department for many years. After retirement, he was a supporter of the Silver Comet Trail and on his 80th birthday, he completed 80+ miles on the Coeur d’Alene Trail in Idaho with his family and friends.

The funeral arrangements for Mr. Raymond Lee Kuglar will be held on Friday, April 14, 2023 at twelve (noon) o’clock in the afternoon in the sanctuary of the First Baptist Church of Cedartown, with Dr. Chris Moses and Rev. Wayne Benefield officiating. Interment will follow in the Polk Memory Gardens Cemetery.

The family of Mr. Kuglar will receive family and friends on Friday, April 14, 2023 from eleven o’clock in the morning until the funeral hour at First Baptist Church of Cedartown.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Craig Kuglar, David Corbin, Randy Cook, Jerry Moore, Tony Tuck, and Todd Britt. Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Faith, Mike Lunsford, Dicky Astin, James Chandler, and Johnny Rampley.
