Rockmart got another parcel added to the city limits in recent days.

During the City Council meeting on Tuesday, May 14, council members voted to approve the addition of a business complex that will still need to undergo some repairs after a 2023 fire knocked out one of the offices available in the space.

The Prospect Road property next door to the Haney Feed and Seed near the intersection with Nathan Dean Parkway includes one acre added to the city’s footprint with the vote last month.

It is owned by Allstar Properties, the company run by local business owner Andrew Heaner.

Prior to the fire, Custom Clouds Vape Shop was calling one of the units home which was lost to a September 3, 2023 blaze.
