It’s no joke: Dollar Generals seem to pop up everywhere these days and another new one is going up just across from Peach State Ford.

The Dollar General location the County Commission gave approval for a rezoning request back in August 2022 is now underway, with steel framing up and a foundation already laid for the 10,000+ square foot store on Highway 278 and Lindsey Chapel Road.

This makes just the latest location to go up in Polk County, bringing the total up to seven when it is completed. Dollar General has locations in Aragon and Rockmart, two in Cedartown, a location on Highway 278 and McCowan Road, and on Highway 27 South.
