There’s something for everyone coming up at the Polk County Fair as the Entertainment lineup is now available for the four nights coming up next week at the fairgrounds.

With the Miss Polk County Fair Pageant moving indoors to Pine Bower Baptist Church this weekend on Saturday, the fair opens on Wednesday night with a presentation of awards at 7 p.m. on the Main Stage.

Betting on the Mule follows up on Thursday evening at 8 p.m. with a concert, and then the lineup on Friday and Saturday are packed with entertainment and fun.

Michael Deese kicks off the shows on Friday evening at 6 p.m., followed by Dalton McCloud at 7 p.m. and Sorrow to Seven at 8:30 p.m.

Following that on Saturday, Martin and Simon West play at 7 p.m., the Polk County Explorers will be holding their Kiss a Pig contest at 7:30 p.m., Bianca Rodriguez takes the stage after at 8 p.m., and Deluxe the Band closes out the Fair entertainment schedule at 9 p.m.

Entertainment sponsors this year include Trammell Lawn Care on Wednesday, The Lankford Insurance Firm on Thursday, Olin L. Gammage & Sons Funeral Home on Friday and Smith & Miller Funeral Home on Saturday.

Some helpful reminders for those who want to take part in this year’s fair:

Address: 1604 Fairgrounds Rd, Cedartown, GA 30125 (turn off of the Highway 27 bypass to get in, or in front of the Det. Kristen Hearne Public Safety Complex signage and follow the road to the right and uphill. You won’t miss it from there…)

Cost to get in: Fair entry is $5 for adults and $3 for children throughout each day of the fair.

Dates and times: Hours are Wednesday and Thursday from 5 to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 5 to 11 p.m., and Sunday from 1 to 6 p.m.

What about the rides?: Ride armbands are $25 for Wednesday and Thursday, and $30 for Friday through Sunday.

Promotions: Free admission is provided to students and PSD employees on the opening night of the Polk County Fair (Wednesday, Sept. 6.)

The Thursday night promotion provides free admission for senior citizens, and on Saturday the fair provides free admission for veterans and first responders.
