Mrs. Pluma Willis Baldwin Bates

Mrs. Pluma Willis Baldwin Bates, age 92, of Cedartown, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, August 26, 2021. 

She was born on October 1, 1928 in Dallas, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Bruce and Grace Langley Willis.  

Mrs. Bates is survived by her daughter, Teresa Browning (Kenneth); son, Steve Baldwin; grandchildren, Kriss-York Croft (Britney), Julie Andrews (Tab); Jennifer Gammage, Leslie Edge (Joel) and Jason King; great-grandchildren, Andrew, Kristen, Ridge, Julie Ann, Caroline, Gus Robert, Emilee Grace, Jonalynn and Miles; great-great-grandchildren, Zoey, Grant, Charlotte and Georgia.  

Mrs. Bates is preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Paul R. Baldwin and second husband, Donald J. Bates; sisters, Ruth Evelyn Glenn, Julia West and Jerry Cornelius; and brother Howard Benaway.

The funeral arrangements for Mrs. Pluma Willis Baldwin Bates will be held on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at one o’clock in the afternoon in the chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Rev. Doyle Kelley and Rev. Danny Tucker officiating.  Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery with Dr. Larry Conner officiating.   

The family of Mrs. Bates will receive family and friends on Saturday, August 28, 2021 from twelve o’clock in the afternoon until the funeral service hour at the Gammage Funeral Home.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Drew Forston, Andrew York, Ridge Andrews, Gus Gammage, Patrick Dizon, and Beau Ball. Honorary pallbearers will be: Tab Andrews, Britney Croft, Joel Edge, Ben Ball, Zach Taylor, Mike York and Jason King.
