The Our House Women’s Shelter still has some spots left for teams who want to participate in an upcoming golf tournament that will help raise money for the organization and their goal of helping women and children in the community escape from domestic violence.

Executive Director Kelsei Poulin invites the community to take part – or make direct donations as well – toward the golf tournament coming up at Cherokee Golf and Country Club in two weeks time.

The event has thus far has several teams signed up, but plenty of spots for more. Additionally, sponsors are being sought as well.

Participants will be treated to breakfast and lunch, and be eligible for multiple prizes including cash prizes for the winning teams. The First place team is eligible for a $400 prize, second place at $300, and a third place team gets $200.

There’s also competition for closest to the pin on the course’s Par 3 holes, the longest drive contest, a silent auction and raffle prizes.

Those interested in taking part can contact Poulin by phone at 770-748-2300, or email at plkwomen@bellsouth.net.

Registration is due by May 7.
