Cedartown Police reported this afternoon that only minor injuries were reported when two cars collided at the intersection of MLK Jr. Boulevard and the Highway 27 Bypass this morning.

Police Chief Jamie Newsome confirmed that two vehicles hit head on when one of the cars turning onto Lee’s Chapel Road hit a vehicle traveling northbound on the bypass.

He said only minor injuries were reported in the wreck, but that the damage caused made it look worse than it appeared to passersby this morning.

No information was immediately available on how many people were involved in this morning’s wreck.
