Have you ever wondered what it’s like, or even what it means to be a competent Notary Public in Georgia? This summer could be your chance to find out.
A Notary Public is a state-appointed official who serves as an impartial witness in situations related to the signing of important documents. These officials serve the public and perform official fraud-deterrent acts while witnessing the execution of such documents as real estate, power of attorney, prenuptial agreements, among other things.
Next month, the Polk County Clerk of Superior Court and the Georgia Superior Court Clerk’s Cooperative Authority will present a free 90-minute Zoom class for Online Notary Training.
Mike Smith from the Georgia Clerk Authority will be teaching the class, which covers best practices for performing notarial acts as well as going over Georgia Notary Law and some real-life examples about what it’s like to be a Georgia Notary Public.
On Wednesday, July 20, if you or anyone you know is interested in this training session, please contact Angel by calling 770-749-2114 at the Clerk of Superior Court’s Office to sign up. The class will begin at 1 PM and last until 2:30 PM.
