Aragon Police’s Marc Riley is enjoying one more day on the force while another city employee was celebrated alongside him, but won’t be retiring for a couple more weeks.

Riley, who officially retires starting on April 30, was treated to lunch and dessert along with Public Works Superintendent Jerry Womack today as both are enjoying the final days on the job.

Lunch was the treat of the city and also included members of the Rockmart Police, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office and the city’s Public Works department.

Womack is set to retire on May 14 after only a couple of years spent with the city as the Public Works Superintendent.

Riley celebrates the end of a decades long career in law enforcement, much of that spent with the Aragon Police Department.
