One Door Polk adds Blessing Box to campus providing food help for community

A new addition to One Door Polk put up in recent days officially opened for the public to utilize on Monday and is stocked up and ready to provide foodstuffs to those in need.

A brand new Blessing Box provided by the Polk School District Graduate Polk: Student Success Center staff and the PCCCA construction program now gives those in need the opportunity to go grab non-perishable food items any time of the day.

Here’s more about the new Blessing Box from the City of Cedartown’s Facebook Page posted on Monday:

Something POSITIVE on a rainy Monday morning!

Check out this Blessing Box that’s located at One Door Polk. Right now, the box is loaded with non-perishable food and hygiene products — free for anyone to take! In the coming months, as the temperatures drop, it will be filled with blankets, mittens, scarves, and other items that someone may need to keep warm.

Who made this blessing box possible? Polk School District’s Grad Polk: Student Success Center staff and PSD’s construction department! The beautiful paint job was completed by Mrs. Triplett’s Exceptional Students class and Hanna Nichols. The City of Cedartown’s Public Works department installed the box.

It was a TEAM effort because we are BETTER TOGETHER.

If you would like to help the Grad Polk Program continue to BE THE CHANGE with donations for the blessing box at One Door Polk, please contact Lacey Tuck at lacey.tuck@polk.k12.ga.us or Hanna Nichols at hanna.nichols@polk.k12.ga.us.
