A new merchant’s association for local businesses is set to host their first organizing meeting and elect officers this evening at Rockmart City Hall.

All business owners are invited to attend the first meeting of the Rockmart Merchants Association – no matter how long they have been in operations – to take part and provide their thoughts about how to increase economic opportunities for all in the Rockmart area.

The meeting is set to start at 6:30 p.m.

More than 260 letters went out to local businesses asking for their participation in the forthcoming Rockmart Merchants Association.
