Mrs. Stella Mae Smith, age 77, of Cohutta, Georgia and formerly of Cedartown, passed away on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, in Dalton, Georgia.
Stella was born April 27, 1944, in Suches, Georgia daughter of late Claude Berry and the late Grace Sissum Berry. She was a simple lady that loved Jesus.
Mrs. Stella Smith is preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Grace Berry; children, Dennis & Leann Taylor; sister, Nancy Roland; brothers, Homer Hollis and Raymond Ballew.
She is survived by her husband, Stephen Phillips Smith; children, Dewayne Hollis and Dennis Hollis; sisters, Rita Elders and Louis Royer; brothers, Larry Ballew and David Royer and numerous grandchildren and grandchildren. Several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Stevie Puckett, Donald Elders, Mashaun Williams, Marques Wiggins, Jr, Marshall Ballew, and Larry Ballew, Jr.
Graveside services will be held on February 17, 2022, at 4:30 PM at Valley View Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Brad Hassebrock officiating and eulogy by her son, Dewayne Hollis.
The family will receive friends Thursday, February 17, 2022 from 2:00 PM until 4:00PM at Smith & Miller Funeral Home.
