Mrs. Sara Eloise Chafin Smith, age 93 of Rockmart, passed away Wednesday, May 26, 2021.
Mrs. Smith was born March 22, 1928 in Aragon, daughter of the late Eva Estelle Agan Chafin. She was a former employee of the Aragon Mill and was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy William Smith.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Marie Smith of Rockmart; four grandchildren, Lawrence William Smith, Jr. of Douglasville, David Dewayne Smith, Christina Ann Smith and Jessica Marie Bean all of Rockmart; seven great-grandchildren, Brenda Leann Robinson, Johanna Bean, Trinity Bean, Daniel Bean, Lauren Smith, Taylor Smith, Tori Smith; and three great-great-grandchildren, Zayden Robertson, Mikey Alley and Brandon Varner.
Memorial services for Mrs. Smith will be held at a later date.
Freeman Harris Funeral Home is in charge of the memorial arrangements for Mrs. Sara Eloise Chafin Smith.
