Mrs. Brenda Ray, age 75, of Cedartown, GA passed away Monday, June 15, 2020.

She was born in Rome, GA on January 15, 1945, a daughter of the late T. J. Mount and the late Neola Bowers Mount. Mrs. Ray was a member of the Circle L Ministries. She was devoted to her family; enjoyed cooking and loved her pets.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Ray; daughter, Connie Moncrief; grandson, Mark Anthony Arp; sisters: Shirley Carver, Kathy Keever, Judy Wilson and Nancy Payne.

Survivors include her three children: Crystal Vincent and her husband Curtis, Angela Arp and her husband Terry, and Anthony “Bo” Perry and his wife Arvine; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Vickie Lawler and her husband Hoyt; brothers: Tommy Mount and Larry Mount; and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of the Smith & Miller Funeral Home with Rev. Tony Lyle officiating. Interment will follow in the Northview Cemetery.

Pallbearers will include: Jayden Perry, Brent Arp, Jamie Haney, Michael Arp, Todd Wallace and Pete Buckner. Her great-grandson, Cody Lewis will serve as an honorary pallbearer.

The family will receive friends Wednesday afternoon from 12 noon until the funeral hour at the funeral home. Social distancing guidelines will be followed. The family will also welcome visitors at other times at Mrs. Ray’s house located at 309 Alice St. in Cedartown.
