Mr. Ronald “Ronnie” Campbell Sr.

Mr. Ronald James “Ronnie” Campbell, Sr., age 70 of Rockmart, passed away Thursday, February 25, 2021.

Mr. Campbell was born May 23, 1950 in Cedartown to the late Billy Campbell and the late Tommie Lou Simpson Campbell. A 1969 graduate of Rockmart High School, he was a High Line Maintenance Worker for Georgia Power and a lifelong farmer.

His favorite hobby of all was spending time with the love of his life, Cathy, to whom he was married for 45 years. He also enjoyed traveling, farming, dancing with Cathy, being outdoors on the farm, golfing, and wheelin’ and dealin’.

Survivors include his wife, Cathy Campbell; son, Ronald James “Jay” Campbell, Jr. (Larissa); daughters, Stacy Ely (fiancé, Mark Garriga) and Misty Campbell; brother, Glenn Campbell (Linda); sisters, Judy Williamon (Tony) and Margie Prather (DuWayne); and grandchildren, Luke Davis, Bo Davis, Jada Campbell, and Karlee Campbell.

Funeral services for Mr. Campbell will be conducted Sunday, February 28, 2021 at 3:00 P.M. from the Antioch Baptist Church with Rev. Jonathan Blackmon officiating. Interment services will follow in the Antioch Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Freeman Harris Funeral Home Saturday, February 27, 2021 from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.
