Mr. Joe Elray Garmon Sr. age 81, of Rockmart, GA passed away Friday, March 5, 2021.
Mr. Garmon was born in Aragon, GA on March 27, 1939, a son of the late Joseph S. Garmon and the late Lois Brown Garmon.
Joe had lived the great part of his life in Polk County where he was a member of the New Prospect Baptist Church. He was a former trucking manager for Capitol Products. Joe enjoyed old cars and he was a veteran of the United States Air Force.
Survivors include his wife of sixty two years, Judy Garmon, Rockmart; daughter, Pam Garmon, St. Augustine, FL; son, Joe Garmon and his wife, Wanda, Rockmart; two grandchildren: Brandon Roberts (Heather) and Joey Garmon; brother, Mike Garmon (Elaine), Cedartown; sister, Jean Bray, Cedartown; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Private family graveside funeral and interment services will be held in the New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Justin Arnold officiating.
