Mr. Gary Kent Spahr, age 68 of Aragon, passed away Tuesday morning, April 13, 2021.
Mr. Spahr was born May 28, 1952 in Xenia, Ohio, son of the late Karl Klemmer Spahr and the late Ardis Gentry Spahr. He was a veteran of the United States Army and retired from Amrep Chemical Company, Inc. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing pool.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Kent Spahr.
Survivors include his wife, Kim Louise Schrader Spahr of Aragon; son, Pete Spahr of Hendersonville, NC; daughter, Alyson O’Hara of Acworth; two brothers, Peter Spahr and Mike Spahr; four grandchildren, Emma Mae Spahr, Greyson Spahr, Nick Reed and Haiden O’Hara.
Funeral services for Mr. Spahr will be held on Sunday, April 18, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Freeman Harris Funeral Home with Brother Jerry Adair officiating. Mr. Spahr will be cremated following the funeral service.
The family will receive friends on Sunday prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral hour.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Georgia Chapter, 922 East Morris St., Dalton GA 30721 in memory of Mr. Spahr.
