Mr. Donald Gene Hunt, age 84, of Cedartown, GA, passed away on Saturday, February 20, 2021, at a nursing home in Rome, GA.
Mr. Hunt was born in Brimfield, OH on March 4, 1936, son of the late Don A. Hunt and the late Mae Evelyn Bradshaw Hunt. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by 5 brothers, Wyatt Hunt, Jerry Hunt, Danny Hunt, Virgil Hunt and Paul Hunt.
Before his retirement, Mr. Hunt worked at Tropicana in Florida for 15 years and was then a small machine repairman, working for many years at Ace Hardware on 2nd Avenue. He was a member of Christ Gospel Church.
Survivors include 2 brothers, Ivan Hunt, Palmetto, FL, and Roy Hunt (Sue), Bradenton, FL; nieces, nephews and a loving church family.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 26, 2021, at 2pm in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, with his Pastor, the Rev. Rocky Calvert, officiating. Interment will follow in Rome Memorial Park, South. Social distancing guidelines will be followed.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 1pm until 2pm at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel. Social distancing guidelines will be followed.
Pallbearers are to assemble by 1:30pm on Friday at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, and include: George Sifuentes, Lewis Bryson, Derral Kent, Jeremiah Veillon, Don Waln and Caleb Pendleton.
